Amir Mendoza is a native of Panama who was the leading apprentice in his graduating class of 2025. Amir compiled 35 wins in his native Panama over a five-month span. Currently claiming a 7-pound apprentice allowance, Amir is now based at Oaklawn Park for the duration of the racing season.
